The Crane Foundation was established between Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo by George Archibald. He is an Ornithologist and a visionary leader in international conservation efforts. In 1973, when cranes were in a perilous situation and many were on the brink of extinction, Archibald, along with Cornell University colleague, Ronald Sauey, Ph.D., established the International Crane Foundation (ICF). The foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin is the world center for the study and preservation of cranes. If you have never visited the International Crane Foundation or haven’t visited in the last 5 years, you will want to join us The ICF has expanded the habitats for the cranes. It is the only place on Earth where you can see all 15 of the world’s crane species! www.savingcranes.org

New Life Lavender & Cherry Farm began in 2017 after they purchased an abandoned farmhouse sitting on 40-acre farm with gorgeous views and rolling hills. After experiencing personal hardships in their family, they saw a need for others to have a way to connect with friends and family to find hope and peace. And so, New Life Lavender started with a vision to create a place to come, relax by breathing in the sweet aroma of lavender and breath-taking views of our farm, and reconnect with one another despite the hustle and bustle of life.

New Life Lavender offers a wide variety of products in their farm store, homemade lavender cherry pies and delicious lavender drinks from their commercial farm kitchen to tempt the tastebuds, and educational farm to table tours which are all encompassing from lavender, fish, sheep, beekeeping, strolling through our herbal garden (our Secret Garden) and our lavender version of an English knot garden. www.newlifelavender.com
